Chika is a twin and one of seven children, growing up in incredibly difficult conditions. His family lives in a vulnerable community where he's exposed daily to the threats of sexual exploitation and drugs.
But in 2020, everything changed. Chika and his twin sister, Chidimma, were welcomed into the Kids-Off-The-Street (KOTS) Shelter run by Pistis Foundation. There, they found safety, access to education, and a chance to dream again.
Now in Year 4 at Adorable Toes School, Chika is full of life and determination. He loves to dance, and more than anything, he dreams of wearing a doctor’s coat one day — to heal others and give back.
