Emmanuel is one of five children, living with his family in an uncompleted building in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos. His father works as a motorcycle rider, and his mother sells yams by the roadside. They live constantly at risk of eviction, adding stress to their already fragile situation.
Though Emmanuel struggles academically and emotionally, he is surrounded by teachers who believe in him. With extra support in class and care for his emotional well-being, he is making steady progress.
Emmanuel is a quiet boy with a big dream—to become a footballer.
