Blessing lost her father before her first birthday, leaving her widowed mother to raise her alone under extremely difficult conditions. They once lived in a shanty, and though Blessing now lives at the Kids-Off-The-Street (KOTS) Shelter, her mother remains in a dilapidated building with no doors or windows.
Her mother, a hairdresser but her income is not enough to fund Blessing’s education.
Despite it all, Blessing thrives. She loves creative writing and dreams of becoming a teacher who inspires others the way she has been inspired.
